There is something incredibly special about a baby this tiny. At just 11 inches, she has the delicate presence of a true NICU micropreemie — the kind of little one you instinctively want to gather into your hands and protect. She was created with that feeling in mind. I used real reference photographs of preemies around her size throughout her creation. Every little detail was studied with the intention of recreating delicate and distinctive features that capture the beautiful, fragile realism of an actual tiny preemie. And she is just as lovely to hold as she is to look at. She has been realistically weighted for her tiny size, with a wonderfully floppy head and a soft, cuddly body that makes her extremely easy to pose. She can be gently curled into your arms or settled into different natural newborn positions, giving her that lovely feeling of a real little baby who simply melts into you. Her Skin & Details She has been painted using Genesis Heat Set Paints together with Irresistables Heat Set Mediums and UF air dry, allowing for many layers of subtle colour and true early baby detail. Her skin has been textured with a specialised varnish designed to create the appearance of tiny natural skin pores once cured, adding another layer of realism that you can appreciate both up close and when holding her. Her paintwork has been finished with three layers of heat-set varnish, thoroughly baked to create a durable protective finish over her carefully created skin and hair. Her nails have been delicately detailed and finished with a soft satin varnish, giving them the appearance of tiny newborn nails rather than a glossy artificial finish. Her lips have been treated in the same way, with a delicate satin finish that keeps them looking soft and naturally part of real skin. The Tiny Details of a Preemie One of the things that makes her especially precious is her peach fuzz. She has applied, unpigmented peach fuzz made from kid mohair, carefully placed in the areas where you would naturally find that fine, almost invisible hair on a premature newborn. It is intended to be subtle — something you discover when you look closely, just as you would with a real preemie. Her eyelashes have been rooted with the same fine kid mohair, giving her those beautifully delicate lashes that are so easy to miss until you get close. Dried skin effects in the places they feature - such as back of one side of the head and the upper part of her tiny t-zone. As well as a little patch of matted looking hair in the same place, where it often features on babies where they lie. Shown in photo. Her Hair Her hair is rooted with premium Ju & Na black mohair, one of the highest-quality mohairs available. To give you the realism of genuine rooted hair without the constant worry of matting, tangling or messy hair, her mohair has been carefully sealed to her head with varnish. This gives you a lovely combination of both worlds: the texture and realism of real rooted mohair, with the low-fuss benefits you normally associate with painted hair. Her hair can therefore remain beautifully tidy while still looking and feeling like real baby hair. Her Little Extras She takes a Honeybug micro pacifier beautifully, thanks to a strong earth magnet securely placed inside her head. She also has an additional magnet positioned at the top right of her head, allowing you to add magnetic flowers, bows and other little hair accessories to change her look without needing to disturb her delicate hair. And she will come home with everything shown in the final photo, so you can enjoy dressing and cuddling her straight away. She may only be 11 inches long, but she has an enormous amount of character packed into that tiny body. She is the sort of little baby who makes you slow down when you pick her up — tiny enough to cradle in one arm, soft enough to cuddle close, and detailed enough that you can keep discovering little things about her the longer you spend with her.
